In spite of the fact that I grew up in New York, I visited Niagara Falls for the first time several years ago. Niagara Fall was inspired by the turbulent water soaring over the falls, with its roiling currents and trees clinging by bared roots to the banks. I made a sketch, but worked mostly by feel. I wanted to capture the wonder I felt on that rainy fall day I saw the falls, as well as the force and fragility of the scene. As you look at this pendant, I hope you can envision the wondrous falls churning under the trees. The branches leaning precariously over the water. And the constant spray sparkling over it all.
This amazing piece of wearable art is not for the meek. While it is fairly light, it measures four inches in length and is fully three dimensional. There is a hidden channel in the waves at the top for the chain to slide through.
Materials include: Sterling silver, plated silver, copper, agate, Swarovski crystal, jasper, coral and amber.
Pendant measures approx. 3" x 4" and will be on a heavy solid stainless steel chain. (not shown)
Your pendant will arrive in a gift pouch or box.
