City of Dublin, CA storm drain mural project. One of two sea otter designs I created and painted in front of Well Middle School. The original artwork is available as pen & ink drawings, digitally colored, at high resolution.

These two functional murals are directly adjacent to storm drain inlets in Dublin, CA. Storm Drains are the initial inlets that allow for rainwater to enter local waterways before eventually flowing to the San Francisco Bay. Pollutants, such as motor oil, pet waste, and other sediment and urban chemicals, also make their way into storm water systems. Murals to storm drain inlets were commissioned to help raise awareness and improve water quality in local watersheds and in the San Francisco Bay.
